Dear Lord~ I'm not exactly sure what to write in this section anymore.... today is 맥추감사절~ will you inspire me the amount that would represent my thanks to you? (-sort of a stupid Q, but for some reason I wanted to ask). Thank you btw for solving that burdening problem I had earlier.... when I see no path, you were always the one re-creating the paths for me....When that time happened, when I was overwhelmed by my thoughts only and my raging emotions, the person I've turned to talk to ended up being my sister instead of you... when that happned... I started to doubt how I am going to live on my life from the moment I break off from my family and such... Even though I could still sheepishly turn to you for help, either it was my pride or my sorry feelings toward you, I could not "pray" to you my problems at that time.... I never wanted to use you like a Ginnie, where I ask all my problems and wishes away. I didn't want that sort of thing happening between you and me so ... when I had the option to "pray" to you, I really just couldn't. But then, I started to wonder which was more foolish...because for sure, I have no wisdom and power to solve anything...in the end, you stepped in for me and lessened my load the next morning... I really want to stop just turning to you in times of trouble and walk away once the problem is solved....I want to live a set a part life.... I want people to know that I am really a Christian....but to be honest, there is still part of my heart that enjoys being in sin... and since I already know your reaction to sin, it is harder for me to give that part of my life since I already know that once I give it to you it will be destroyed...By logic, I know your kingdom and the life you rule is so much better than being ruled over by sin, but somehow, it seems that my heart doesn't want to believe....Honestly, as of "feelings" I don't want to lay it over to you, but by Spirit, I give all that up for you.. . for there is part of my who really want to live the life of Christ all the way. One day, I know that I need to make that decision for myself....for sure, I need your help in this... Dear Lord.....Long time no see in this format. I must say, that we have been together offline several times, but I did feel pretty guilty of being lazy with this promised time with you. Honestly, my excuse would be..... is that the book of Job.... isn't very interesting... and had already couple of experience of reading it this year....well yeah;; pretty bad excuse, but in some sense, it did have some influence. Many things I would like to now officially thank you for~ the trip for the Home Schooling conference was truly a great experience and I feel that the things I've learned from there will effect my future decisions when I start go on with life. Also.... THANK YOU SO MUCH for making the evangelism for Soyeon so easy. Honestly it might not be much impact, but I pray that she might enjoy being at our church and hopefully take into consideration of continue going to a church in some way. I pray that you move her so that she may get to know you today and reall y get a good impression of a church community. Thank you that the sleep over went well as well~ I pray that you would comfort Annie's family and house hold and when she and her family return back to the states again, you may protect their journey back. Thank you that you have provided me the opportunity to meet my friend again. Also for Arushi....hmmm so far to me, I feel that she may slowly back tracking.... I wanted her to be strengthened in faith, but it seems more like that spark she had in highschool sort of dimmed..... Lord, still hold on to her and allow more opportunities for her so that she may really get to lay her life for you as well. You are truly almighty~ You have the power to subdue a monster like Leviathan; surely I may rest assured relying on you this day. Dear Lord, thank you for letting me have this time with you again. hmmm well, nothing comes into mind personally except few reflections of individual highlights. Yeah....just sitting... and not thinking of anything in particular. Just, when I looked at the verses, I'm like..."yes, I totally agree with that...." Couple things though, you communicate with us by spirit as well right? Surely, then how will you be able to transfer the text in to your living words? Will you reveal your plans for me about Ukraine? well...for now, I have a mild head ache... even with it I can't concentrate... which brings me to ask of you about my sister... she is still sufferering from the head ache, though most of it seemed to be fixed. Lord, apply your hand on her once more so that she may completely be rid of the head ache. For sure, she will need her all for next week's exam. Help me not slack off too much as well. Something that I agree with. I personally believe that Science enhances our knowledge of God, not deny it. God is the one who created this universe, and therefore, He would have a better idea how things runs in the world. Daily QT: Job 21: 1-16

Dear Lord, Thank you for inviting me to this place and time of fellowship. Yes, mom did have a bit of a influence for me to start this QT today, but still, you are a living God and made it more of a time of peace rather than a time of gruesome labor. I am rather amazed that Job asked and mentioned about that age old question that I thought it appeared recently in time: "If God is good, why are there still evil in the world...and they seem to have it all?" I thought that this type of mentality happened rather recently towards the End times, but to my surprise, they existed since early on when Abraham was alive... and probably earlier than that as well. It does sometimes seem unfair... and this does make it harder for people to realize that you are Greater than all of that, but the Truth is still the Truth. Though people may not realize it, You are still the ruler and moderator of this world and though they may seem to be in control, they will never leave the grasp of your influence and power. For sure, these are the people that will end up being seperated in the end...the people who clearly is convinced of your existence, yet they do not allow you to be the ruler and king of their lives; the people who chose purposely to not treat you as the supreme and decided that the true ruler is themselves. Unfortunately, there are several of these types of people around me...and Lord, to be honest, I am scared. I know you love them to the last atom, but if they don't choose you themselves, they have the chance of ending up in the wrong group in the end. Lord, though I may try my best, in the end you are the one who holds the key to open up their hearts. You are the only one that can truly convince anyone that you are the True King of this world. Lord, I pray that you would not give up on my Grand mother, Monica Park, Yelim Lee, Arushi, and the Youtube person especially. There may be more, but I want you too touch these people especially for me. They are dear people and very special to me in many ways and I would love it if they end up in your side along with all those who love you. Each of them are bound to something that is not of you and that is preventing them from giving up their lives for you (come to think of it, I myself is like that too...-_-;; ). Be the strong liberator and allow them to come before you. Free them from their bonds. In your name, Amen.

Daily QT: Job 19: 1-29

Dear Lord, I know that I have been skipping on this time rather frequently... and your right. Right about what you told me this morning, and what you have hinted in this QT. I may seriously re think over where I have placed you in my life. Since I am living rather a mundane, repetitive life, I must have left you in a small little box, within my heart, only to bring you forth like a Ginnie when hardships come or something. That... is the last thing I want to do. I've been thinking why this type of thing would happen, if you have been already proven so real in my life; not only few times, but already mulitiple times. I guess there is a difference between Loving you and treating you as real. Though there are lots of things that exist in my life, that doesn't necessarily mean I really love them enough that I would spend my time over them all the time. You should be my number one love though, then again, I want this to be a real love in my life, rather than it being d epended on just cool experiences. I don't want to be that type of girl who only loves you for the things you've done for me, but a girl who loves you because you are you. That is a whole new level of love that is rare to see in my generation, but that is the love that I do seek. Honestly, the things I love do sometimes colide and make friction with what you love, and as your lover, when those types of conflicts occur, I should let down my own love, but then instead I choose that over you. That is the sin that is eating me away. Lord, which comes first? me letting down my love to experience yours? or can your love come to me first and then I would be able to gladly let down mine? I guess both depending on context, but as of now, I think you are now training me to do the former. Help me out. I honestly am not confident about this. Let be not be too lazy, in your name, Amen. ... Oh yeah, btw, I don't know why but my sister is in great pain. She has a head ache that is tormentin g her a lot these days. Nobody knows the reason except for you so ple ase look in to her and ease her pain. In your name, please rid of her illness what ever it may be. You are the one who created us and you know how to fix us, in your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for reminding me to come before you again. Lord, by missing few of these moments with you, I have to admit that I become slowly something else...I really do loose my self and in the end, loose self control. Lord, due to my laziness, I treat this time of fellowship as a labor task, and now that my life became a little bit more lively, I once again started making excuses and started neglecting this important time. For the Hosea message you have given me, for sure, you've been directing that message to me especially. I know that You have blessed me with many things, yet I've spent most of your blessings on not serving you, but for my own pleasure. Even though I know this, I almost seem to invest most of my time with entertainment automatically....will you be able to help me with this? or is this the special realm of my life when I must personally make the determination and make my own efforts? Even though you are very very meaningful to me, why do I treat you as if you really are not? I'd hate to admit it, but do I not love you that much that I thought I loved you? If that's true, then I give you my deepest apologies. Whether if it is a thing that is suppose to click at one point in my life, or if it is a supposed to be slowly unnoticeable changes that must occur, I have the hope that you will still not leave me and allow me to participate in your plan. You do desire that I become more like you right? Let me have that desire more than ever as well. When you give me these lessons in life through the Bible, help me not ignore it like the example given in Romans, but let it stick to my heart. let it ibe the weapon for the Holy Spirit and the food for my Spirit to change me according to you plan. Dear Lord, Thank you for your time and rememberance. I feel that you are slowly nudging at me now. Even this morning and maybe even this QT, you are now slowly telling me to not argue with ppl anymore. Ultimately, it was for my self,but I did have hopes to convince that person. When I end up sending that last mail to that person, please guide that person's heart so that they may at least get to see the glimps of you. I can not talk to that person alone, you must talk to him through me. Lord, Just like Paul on let me strive for my goal. As of now, I don't have a goal because I have not strove to seek one. Lord, I still have the desire to play around and do nothing. I am just like a sludge, formless and worthless. You must build me up, or else I would remain and exit this world as nothing. At least thank you for not allowing me to skip this time with you. Allow my dad to see the email and take it to consideration. Help him to fix his mistakes and learn to greatly a ppreciate mom. Please revive his lips in your name so that it would be used to build up and encourage others rather than to bring others down. Let him know how much damage is having on others. Strengthen my mom's heart so that she will not be hurt. Help her find refuge in you and rely on you for this message towards dad will be sent, and not on anyone else. Help her face her issues in life with You and not rely on others. Please be the bridge between my parents. Help my sister as well as she is going about her day today. Help me increase my vocabulary with you as well so that I don't smuther my prayer with you with nothing but "please help me with this, or that". As my spend my time today, help me feel your guidance. Daily QT: Job 9:17-35

Dear Lord~ what a relaxing day it is today. It is a bit gloomy and sort of down, but then again, these types of ambiance really makes one relax and calm down. As you can see, I tried a lot to avoid this time, and I would have if you hadn't nudged at me. Thank you for allowing me to have this time with you. I realize now that if you are busy, I soon make excuses to try to get off the hook, but Lord, Help me not negotiate and really cherish my time to at least once a day see part of your words. It is only a bit of it, but still let me rely on it that if I really don't read any part of your words, I might go insane. It is a bit disturbing to see some one so disturbed. If I were there, I might have lectured Job as well...I really want him to have hope since he is now having a really difficult time seeing the loving side of you. Of course, if I were in his position, I might easily give in to the wounds....so I guess I really can't say much. Ah;; it really shows that a person can't do anything....only lat the end when you step in to the picture did this conflict resolve. No matter what council and what words of advice, they were meaningless since you hold the key to the the answers. I was pretty amazed of the last bit (verses 33~35). Immediately, I though..."Jesus!" Could this count as a prophecy? something like what Adam experienced when he wanted a partner beside him? Thank you now that I can have this time with you. What Job didn't have, I have now in your name. man;; I should really value you more. And even this I can not do with out your help. Help me remember this verses and let me not take you for granted. Lord, you are the bread of Life (Monday), continue to feed me of your spirit as I get pass this day. Be the bread for all: my family, especially my dad since this is his first day at work. Daily QT: Job 7: 1-21

Dear Lord, Thank you for allowing me to have this time with you. Yes, to be honest, I would rather sleep right now, yet I want to be able to get to learn how much it is important for my life to spend even a short amount of devoted time to you. Today.... I sort of feel 묘하다...It is prolly because of the weather, and well there is also the part that Job's anguish is so extreme and I can barely relate to him. And so, I didn't get to highlight much, but then it still gave me comfort of how you allowed us to speak up these things to you anyway. What Job did is sinless, and rather righteous. In some sense, it looks like Job is complaining out to you more than the Israelites, but then again, he did suffer a lot, in great confusion. More than that, through his speaking out to you, it still reveals how much of a small being he is, while you are still the almighty. He did sort of think that you were some what upset with him, since so much crisis came at one time, but still, I'm glad that I still have you to look up to if I ever get to experience something as extreme as this. Thank you that you are still in control and you are our place of salvage. Please help me manage my time a bit better than before..allow me to be more obedient, in your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, I sort of never got to QT, but I had a different way of reviewing you yesterday. I thank you that you have restored me on the QT. I still need some help with Morning service, because I get really sleepy for some reason. But in anyway, thank you that you helped me out with your words today. I guess if I really skrew things up, please, you take the reigns from me. Lord, please move the hearts of my friends and trusted teachers and teach them the words you want to say to me. Through them, show me what I have done wrong. Of course, you can tell me directly as well, but I might mishear it...but you have your way that is best for me. Dear Lord, thank you for allowing me this time with you today. hmm yes...it is a rather weird feeling I have today. Yesterday was great~ for you to finally allowed me move my lazy butt out of the house. To be this old and to revisit my place of my childhood....it felt really different. Lord, I didn't do anything great for my little cousin, but I still feel this burden in my heart that I have to make things right for her... how should I do it? And yesterday, I don't know how it turned out, but our conversations became really spiritual....I sometimes go off when I talk about those things...I'm not sure if I filtered anything;;; I really pray that it was you who lead that conversation. Now a days, also, I wanted to pay attention to little details as possible. I guess you are also glimering interesting parts of the Bible for me~ hmmm;; I don't know, all my thoughts and feelings are so jumbled inside and it is hard to express with words right now. I would rather speak all these things. I guess now, I have to give John the credit since he wrote down all the important things you revealed to him without all the unnecessary things. I can't even write down the words in my head. Well, for now, I really do look forward to your real "Triumphant" entry onto this earth. I'm not saying that I am ready to meet you, but I really do look forward for that day when you are finally revealed to all the World that you are God. Sorry Lord for delaying this promised time with you, but you still allowed me to have this time with you and I feel that I might have caught onto your message. I want to take heart to what you have said to Simon Peter. For sure Ed always spoke of this passage with passion, but I want this change of heart and a new beginning for myself as well. I already had bunch, but due to my stubborn heart, some how, I always try to go back to the old self...and now a days, I don't fight it either-_-;;(this I need to be ashamed of). This passage also had some really criptic feel to it... at one glance it even looked like a contradiction to me...but Lord help me realize what you meant by here... Of course, it might be the translation's fault as well. Since it is English, the awesome "agape" to "fellio" moment didn't come up. I only knew what the issue was because I was taught before. There might be something that I might have missed. Lord...I really doubt that if my "soul"/mind /body self is wanting the change you want for me at all. Now a days, I don't seem to even make the effort...it sort of scares me...I'm not disqualified yet right? I don't want to end up like Saul though...-_-;;; But you are still keeping me alive till now. I will still trust that you have something for me. I wonder what it meant for Jesus when he said that John would be alive until he "returns". We know that Christ didn't return yet officially. Does the revelation's future episode preview count as his 2nd coming a bit? For sure John isn't alive till now...hmmm comment by Haeun Park

Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
For sure, there might sometimes a difference between what we want to do personally, and what God wants to do. Even for Jesus, there was a slight friction, to show that Jesus was 100% human who in the end offered his all to God. I bet that John wanted to write more if he could, but he was inspired to only write what he wrote so far. comment by Haeun Park

Dear Lord....even though I did that yesterday...you still allowed me to come to this place of time with you...Probably my fault, but I feel that I saw today's message in an interesting way. I didn't really get to spot anything "uwahhh" or anything like before. I just saw some few "interesting" ones, but just of my interest, and not so much for like a spiritual/moral thing...I do notice however that this is the 2nd time you have done this little skit with your disciples. It was probably a dejavu moment for your disciples and stuff, but it was a bit comforting for me for some reason. It might have not been so great for you to see your disciples revert back to their older jobs again, (even after 3 years of your teaching ministry), you didn't scold them in the shore, but you patiently used the same incident to some what remind your disciples. You've done that to me a couple of times... and it does bug me how I've reverted back to my old self more than 2 times. I want to say sorry...but since I am so weak and so wavering, I don't think it can count as a sincere apology/repentance. It might not be if I was to do it again. David's repentance to you was real since he never did such action ever again. I can't say the same for myself. You are so patient and kind to me....I really don't want to abuse that. I guess, help me not revert back to myself totally, but make me grow progressively overall. I don't want to remain stagnant....Thank you for being you. Dear Lord, thank you once again for allowing me to keep this time of fellowship and insight with you. I feel that I need to really straighten up my self a bit, because more and more, I am falling in to the pits of laziness...but you have kept me from at least forsaking this time. Thank you for that. You have your various methods of gathering up your children O Lord. You really know our hearts and the various invisible borderlines. Just like you knew what it took for Thomas to believe in you, you would know what and how long it would take for me to function as well. I want to trust in this a lot Lord, since I know how weak I am when it concerns discipline. I really do waver so much like the reeds in the wind when it has to do with my life. And, at the same time, you deliberately showed up later for Thomas to say the stuff for verse 29. I want to life up one prayer request for my self. It has to do with me being prejudice to ppl. I don't want to be those ppl who ar e shallow and take small bits of evidence to make an absolute statement about some one. Unfortunately, by nature I love categorizing but I don't take a lot of time researching and end up doing the thing I said I don't want to do. Also, I have this extravert-like nature as well, makes me talk in order to think. You have made me a bit more flexible so when I realize that I am wrong I am more prone to voice out my mistake and admit that I am wrong, but it does take me a lot of effort to sort of bend myself a bit low. Help me have the heart of a student and shape me into a person that you wanted me to be. I'm sure my current self is still a bit warped... and for me to be more like "Jesus" I need a lot of shaping and cutting off process. I would love to leave that up to you, but help my blind self not take advantage of that and ignore your discipline. Thank you for spending another morning with me, in your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you that you have once again given me enough strength to start on my QT again. Just wondering...why do I really don't want to wash my face in the Morning? At one point, I even wondered why it takes me so much effort to wash my face-_-;;; well, anyway, you've taught me obedience through this...I should love my mom more-_-;; Going back to today's message, it is interesting to know the same passage from the church came back to me through the QT. For sure, my Pastor is Spiritually awake, because he receives so much insight from the simple passage and stuff. Normally, if I didn't pay attention, it would have been more likely that I miss these small details. But since I've heard of this passage before, it allowed me to look in to this passage a bit more. I think, really the most important thing about my Faith in Christ really is the Love for you. Just plainly loving you with all our heart allows us to have opportunities that we never though we could be involved in. Mary did not show up early in the morning with her mindset to "be the first eye witness for Christ." She prolly just woke up early since she could not stop thinking of you. Though she may have risked her life to re-visit the tomb, she still did it anyway since she loved you so. Love really allows our body to move. Only because I "loved" mom, I was able to just take down my desire to not wash my face and go with what my mom asked me to do....(some how.... it became really epic in my POV). Help me take examples of these ppl of the Bible, so that I may take part in your wonderful and amazing plan. Let my actions be all motivated by my love for you, the family members you have allowed me to be born in, the ppl you allow me to meet, and just your creation overall. In your name, Amen.

Another thing noted by my pastor. How Mary loved Christ that though she was aware of the reality (Christ's body is not in the tomb), she still looked back as if she could not take in the reality...however this love and attachment to Christ allowed her to be the first eye witness of the Resurrected Christ. comment by Haeun Park

At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
2 things I heard from different places....concerning the part why ppl might have not recognized Jesus right away. Dear Lord, Thank you for allowing me to come back to this place of fellowship with you. Lord, you are the Truth, and shall be the only Truth in my life. I have the desire to learn of your truth properly. Problem is that though you are true, usually the channels of truth are rather limited and have the natural tendency to be thwarted. Lord, when it there are times I am confronted to speak up for the truth, help me be wise in my actions. I am sorry that myself is not much of a resource and there are many cases I cannot fully defend for you (due to my laziness and stuff), but then again, let me not be a mis-representative by being rude to my authorities. I do have the desire to shape my world view to better stand on your truth, but I don't want to quarrel when I am not suppose to. Help me discern your Truth for me each day when I am looking in to your words and help me love knowledge and wisdom. Help me take in thing that are Truth and repel and guard against th ings that are lies from Satan. Help me act accordingly so that I may not profane your name. Thank you that you are the Truth, let you be the only truth for my life and for the rest of Humanity. This verse really made me feel that it doesn't matter which background you are from when it comes to becoming a follower of Christ. Even though we have the tendency to diss the pharisees during the time Jesus was around, that title does't prevent one from accepting Christ anyway. Dear Lord, Thank you for at least having this time with me again. Man;; yesterday was;;; really ... urgh; hard for me...with all the vomiting and stuff. But at least you've allowed me to stop puking after the 4th try... last time was like 6 and it really drained me back there. Sorry I didn't have the faith to cure myself with your healing powers...for the couple of days, it really made me look back on myself. But still thank you that you've allowed me to have such understanding family members, that helped me and nursed me, though I made another pathetic mistake. Also, thank you so much that you've allowed my Grandma to take interest in the book. Lord, please use that book to enable the spark within her. I pray that she will be in your arms when she ends up finally departing from this earth. I pray that you would allow her to discover the truth and the love that you wanted her to experience for such a long time. I leave her in your hands. Going back to today's scr ipture, it makes me wonder, how I would react to hard persecutions like Christ went through. I am so weak, that even though I just fell from a bicycle accident, or ended up puking after I ate something wrong, I was so physically and mentally stressed that made me feel so pathetic. On top of that, these mind boggling questions that has to do with Faith and the final choice of the individual...those things are not something that can be proven...;; I realize that I have a long way to go. Thank you for allowing me to live this far in my life...the least I can do for you is to act properly as your tool to be some how used in this earth. I don't know what kind of hardship awaits me, but Lord, as long as you are there for me, I know I will be okay. Thank you for your time with me, in your name, Amen.

Rumors and knowledge that is taught by text is not the important part. For sure, once one experiences God, they may become effective witnesses and be able to withstand against attacks from the World. Daily QT: John 18: 15-27

Dear Lord, thank you so much for allowing me to have this time with you again. When I read through the words you have given me, it was not stated directly, but I felt some sort of a connection and the implication beneath them. Thank you for giving them to me. I think it really goes well with today's morning service as well. I feel that you always do look at our progress and the "middle stages." Though in the end, we are so much prone to that final end, you still give us as much chances and hints as possible. The only difference is whether we are sensitive enough to catch on to your hints and opportunities. I know that prayer and reading of the scripture is an effective way to keep up with your "tweets" ....well yeah; I'm really not very diligent in them am I? urgh;; I usually did rather casual prayers...one that sounds more like a conversation rather than a real petition before you. Some say that is good (especially if I do it as often as I normally do,) but then I might be in danger of loosing some value to prayer as well...which you reminded and taught me earlier on. Lord...I confess that I am mostly talk and not much action and I have so many remnants of the divisions within me that has still not been completely disappeared. I really do want to change, deep in my heart and spirit...right? Lord, I have so much doubts about myself because I am not immutable, or omnipotent or anything like that...I am the exact opposite...I know you can help me, but I really fear that I am still not properly cooperating with you. Wah;;; a dilemma really...T^T But Lord, at least let my spirit still be sensitive to you and though I may walk a wrong path, I would at least heed your warning signs and still try to make the effort to detour back to the right path. Help me oh Lord. You saved this world and created it as well. Please, allow my body to be ruled over you as well. I may not say this with 100% confidence, because I know I have at least some thi ngs that I hold in my heart that I am trying to negotiate. Give me th e strength to give them up as well. Thank you so much that you listen to us and thank you how you take care of us. Help me especially today, as I spend time with my grandma. At times, Jesus remained silent even though He was treated badly, but when it came to Truth and of God, I think He really sort of spoke out, to make sure the opponent at least got those facts straight. I'm also thinking that the high priest might have had some sense in him still, since Jesus actually responded to their questioning, unlike the way He remained silent like the time He was before King Herod. Unfortunately, I guess Annas or Caiaphas didn't really catch on with the hint... comment by Haeun Park

I'm sure, Peter had a lot in his mind...but then I bet he sort of forgot about the part when he said he would defend Christ with all his life, and would never deny him in the time of crisis. Daily QT: John 18: 1-14

Dear Lord, I thank you once again for strengthening me and bringing me back to this place of fellowship. Just like you have prompt me to go to the Morning service, despite my uncomfortable body state, I pray that you would not let my body be an excuse when it comes to following and obeying your will/instructions (also opportunities given to me from You). Sorry that this might turn out shorter than normal, but really I think the message you have given me today was once again, the importance of prayer. In order for me to know what to do, I need to know what you want me to do. In order to follow up with your instructions with my action, I need your strength. I'm sure Simon Peter was really trying to protect you in his own way, and now I realize how really our efforts with out your guidance is another face-palm for you. Lord, help me love your gift, prayer and also help me love your Words. After that incident from yesterday, You made me realize once again how I am so weak and you were the only one I could rely on. Because I had faith in you, the bicycle crash didn't end up being a 제수없는 accident, but rather a good reminder and lesson for me. You have the ability to use all aspects of my life, even though one of that aspect was my weak physical body, poor hand eye coordination, and bruises and scars after that retarded incident. I now realize where I am in my faith level, and I have still a long way to go. Let this incident be stepping stone of my life; a step forward towards you. It is interesting how Jesus knew everything, and still asked the "rhetorical question" to the soldiers. When I read this, it reminded me of a play; the actors act out the scene and recite their lines...though He knew it would happen, it was all according to the "script." I think this may be (only my opinion) Jesus showing some courtesy to the soldiers and the priests, since Jesus knows of the scenario He is in while they didn't have a clue. comment by Haeun Park

In the World's perspective, Peter should have driven the sword through the servant;; or maybe cut off an arm, since it is an obvious thing to "protect" one's master when He is in danger. I guess this is the moment when Peter tried to show he was going to fight for Jesus till death. But then, it was a K.Y. for Peter since he didn't follow up with the script at all. I guess if he were to have stayed awake in Gethsemane, he might have realized to stay put like he was suppose to and maybe he would have not denied Jesus 3 times later...but oh well...I guess this once again re-emphasizes the importance of Prayer; for one to know the flow of God's agenda and the strength to go through the schedule. comment by Haeun Park

Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jewish leaders that it would be good if one man died for the people
I think he is the same person who said out loud a prophecy/truth, yet he didn't know he actually did. Such an irony since this idea to sacrifice one for the lives of many is portrayed in 2 different ways in this situation. comment by Haeun Park

Lord! how exciting you are always! I thank you for that. Not only from yesterday, but today, and this QT, you are just bombarding me with precious messages! Thank you so much O Lord! I may not get to add much to this message section, because for once, my "sticky notes" became some what already a direct prayer to you. Lord, I do have this hope that I may be used by you and develop as your "Son" and get to let ppl know you through me. The little spark of confidence has finally been lit, but it is still flickering because I don't have faith in myself. Lord, let my Faith and love for you exceed all doubts and lack of self-confidence so that my wavering may not hinder your great works. I know you have solutions to everything, but I would very much like to go with the original plan, rather than a revised plan due to the mistakes I might make and stuff. I know there is a faster way to achieve your Kingdom; I want to cooperate as much as I can! Though I totally feel thi s in my heart/spirit, you still know that I am still a Toddler in the Spiritual realm...maybe Kindergarten, but I want to be a college student at least Lord before I leave this earth. It is a weird balance, and due to my limited mind, I can not express it. I need to try my best for you, but then again, I cannot do anything without you. For the first off, you have taught me to value prayer. I've only tried that...couple of times since the message of last night. I pray that these meaningful prayers from the Spirit will increase in frequency and intensity so that I may be fully ready before the epic battle of my life begins. Next step, is the raw materials: your words. Help me love it. Help my body and mind realize that it is not labor, but food for my spirit. Help me firmly establish these two foot steps! Dear Lord, thank you so much that you provided this time for me this morning. I'm also surprised how each QT is so much easier to start when I begin to thanking you. Because you have revealed to me what it means to be a "Son" of God, this passage you have provided me today seems to be more exciting and mind boggling. Thank you once again that you are someone who really listens to us and gives feedback to us. Thank you that you understand our hearts and teach us things at the pace that it would be most effective for us and a way that is the easiest way for us to understand. Jesus, thank you for being the bridge and veil for us that allow us to approach the Father. Help me to always strive to go closer and closer to Him and to you. I want to have that desire to know you more and more, just as if I sometimes go crazy when I am interested in a celebrity or something, but even more. Let me crave you! Let me be addicted to you, so that I will surely not survive if you were not there. Indirectly, you sustain us (like, non-believers, they don't believe that you are the one who is managing their life), but I want to "feel" directly that you are the true source of my life and everything. I want to cooperate as much as I can; Holy Spirit, I pray that though I am still stubborn, you would not give up on me. It's okay if you are a bit rough on me~ do what ever it takes to motivate me. This really gives me an idea of how the critical times will be like. It will probably be intensively painful. I heard that the top two worst pain one can ever experience in this world are the kidney stones passing, and a woman giving birth. But then again, the hope is that once that chaotic time passes, for sure the end result will be such a joy that the past pain can not even compare. I think this adds on to what it would be like when we totally inherit the power that Jesus used here on earth, as your "Sons." I just noticed that he said He "overcame" the world. The verb is in Past tense. He could mean that he already did this when he was praying in Gethsemane, or maybe on the time of creation (hence, the beginning). I will take heart! Daily QT: John 16:1-15

Dear Lord, thank you for being there for all of us yesterday and sending Pastor Kim to speak for us. I do desire to start taking my steps to full adulthood of becoming your "Son" and not remain as a merely child. Once again, each of the words you've said seem to be a bit detached and separate from each other, and for each verse, I have written down what I felt or thought when I first approached the verse. The one that really gave me comfort was the part when the Holy spirit was mentioned. For sure, with the Holy Spirit, I have nothing to fear. True, I must give Him some tools to work with in order for him to be able to better communicate with me..(aka. the Scripture), and I know that I haven't really read a whole bunch of the Scripture for me to have been able to memorize any, but still I have hope in the Holy Spirit as my true guide. I especially need the Holy Spirit since I am about to be released from the family and walk on my own physically. What's really sad is that I'm sure He is doing his job very well, but the problem is that my Spirit is still too weak to be able to control my mind and body. I really pray that I would receive the complete salvation, even of the Body, so that all aspects of my self will be fully obedient to you. If I have that done, for sure I may start better representing you. I pray, and I know that you will help me, in your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, I know it is still a bit late, but you never failed me. You still gave me convictions in my heart to make sure I spend a devoted time with you at least once in my day and though delayed, here it is. I know that I am in a very shaky ground. I still love and enjoy your words. They give me energy, and sometimes they rebuke me to turn to the better way and I would say I really do love your words. Yet, as you already know, there are things in my life that I enjoy as well, other than your precious words, and sometimes I would rather do them than spend more time with you. I say all these things flat out, so that I have no more excuse, and no more hiding. I wanted to really bring it out so that they may be properly dealt with, instead of remaining me to rot. Now you are reminding me, to not only present, but also lay it down. Help me on this one; Help me to do it soon. So far, I've done a few commentaries here and there and the messages seems very detached and rather unconnected. I feel something when I approach the individual verses, but to draw out a single message for me for the rest of the day... not yet so far. I am grateful that I should be considered as your friend. But to be honest, I'm not sure we would be that close to the point you have laid out the plans for me. The biggest problem is for sure, I am not seeking it. But still, I know I would be deadly confused without your guidance. I know you have so much for me....you have so much to offer to me...and I do feel so stupid for not taking them. Dear Lord, thank you still for inviting me to this place again. Why does sometimes things that are so futile end up looking so fun and joyous and stuff. For sure, true joy and happiness should come from you. Yet you are still trying to invite me back to your presence and to the relationship again. Especially, back to reading your word. What I like about the check chart given by the Prayer school is that it really shows me how I did throughout this week...and it was rather pathetic. You've helped me do the QT, so that was great, but some how I've been faring my self from reading your word...meh;; I'll just tell you straight out. As you know, I find great favor of this Korean raper "Simon D" and have been fan-girling these days. I came to a point that I want to meet this type of guy in my real life and stuff... but I hate the way I spend my time more on trying to track this guy (on internet/TV) than your word. This guy has nothing in relation to me, for sure he has no clue that I exist, and all that other stuff that creates human relationship. You offer me intimate relationship and you know all about me....The only reason why I do this is because he happened to be human, and you were God....I treat you as if you were not real. I really hate that about myself. He is a real live person, yet he is nothing more than a TV character to me. You may be the "invisible" God, but you are real in my life. My value system has truly been messed up. Please restore it somehow....I don't think I can do it on my own. I feel so messed up, I want to go back to normal again. In your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me this time with you. I felt that I was so sure of your message for me this morning. It really gave me the challenge, and from today on, I want to recourse back to my better state and not identify myself in this place anymore. However, recently, my hobbies and things changed a bit. Though I never really cared for the k-pop the industry, now a days, I have fallen in love with the people who are in it. Though I basically treat them as same as Anime characters, I still can't deny the fact that they are still real human beings. They are real in the social networking websites, and though it is very unlikely, I may have a chance to see them in real life. These "real-ness" gives me a strange feeling, something different from watching and enjoying anime. Every time I do spaz over them however, makes me sad because I feel ...why can't I be like that with you? I think I have walked away from you far enough, I want to retrace my steps back t o you. Help me know what really matters in my life. Thank you for letting the scanner work so that I was able to send the bank statement this time of the week. For sure, if I have you in my mind, I am rather normal, but once I start straying, I start not knowing myself anymore. It is a good thing at the same a bad thing....Both today's morning service and today's QT does seem to really relate. Both are challenging my legitimacy of my faith in you. Daily QT: John 13: 21-38

Dear Lord, thank you that you still woke me up, even though I pretty much made my self so prone to sleeping in and getting really tired the next day. Though I wasn't able to wake up with a smile, it is still a blessing that you still allowed me this time with you, despite my mistakes and perhaps some ill intentions. You have given me the strength to try this QT in a more different way. I'm not sure if it will show up in this QT, but on the website, I have added sticky notes to some verses via diigo. This allows me to freely add annotations/commentaries on the verse I am mentioning and allows this "message" space to be filled with some messages I feel that are directed to be personally. I think the last bit of the passage really hit me hard, because this is my life so far. Like I already mentioned in my sticky note, I'm very very sure that Peter really meant what he said when he said: "Lord, why can't I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you" in verse 36. Unfortunately for him, this ended up becoming all words, no action because he really didn't have enough strength to follow up with his words when the time of decision embarked later on. Luckily , after Jesus rose and ascended to His rightful throne, he tagged in the Holy Spirit, who is able to give Peter the power to really act out his faith now. Yeah; Simon Peter has some what an excuse for his mistake, but what about me? After the pentacost, anybody who asks for salvation from the Lord, and receives cleansing, also receives the Holy Spirit as well. I don't have any excuse for my behavior. But then again, you have taught me your ways just now as I was typing. I need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Now here comes the problem of motivation and true value; do I truly truly want to be ruled by the Spirit 100% today? To be greatly honest, I may really have been so, since I have this ridiculous desire to spend time watching something.... there! I said it!....(T^T). I really want to ask my self, what is wrong with me, trying to even dare to ac tually rebel against God? Even though watching TV like that is so pointless, and futile, why do I still seek it? Watching TV isn't the issue, it is the problem that I really do indulge myself in it. For truth, that I didn't have that much opportunity in my life to enjoy that much time watching TV, and maybe I felt that this was like my "chance" and all....I'm actually feeling some dilemma ...so sad really. Help me meditate on this. Don't give up on me though. Thank you for your time, in your name Amen.

But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him.

A misunderstanding, now so much clear to me (after being taught by many others). the part "as I have loved..." is the big difference with the old and new covenant. Love is still there, but a whole new level. Not just the casual love that anybody, even a crappy boy friend can give, but the greatest display of love that Jesus did on the cross for the sake of the entire humanity. The message and purpose of the covenant is generally the same. The scale of the covenant became so big, that in order to distinguish, Jesus used the phrase "New"; truly this scale of love will really change everything around. comment by Haeun Park

Simon Peter asked him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied, “Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later.”

Peter asked, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

Daily QT: John 13: 1-20

Dear Lord, thank you once again that you have awakened me, allowed me a time with you in the morning, and also allowed me this time of hour with you once again. I just think it is so fascinating to know how you got to know the very agenda of God. I mean; you are God, but then again, since you had this experience on earth and it was described liked this in the scripture, I have hope that your followers will also have this power to know God's will. Not only a general plan that is common to all the believers, but even specific ones such as knowing the exact time and action that must take place as well. I'm sure more familiarization needs to be taken place before I may have this opportunity, but I also know there were exceptions as well, just like Paul. In the end, it is all up to you^^. The last part on the verse 1...I'm not exactly sure what it means, but for sure it has such a warm feel to it that I just had to highlight it. I think it basically means that y ou really loved your disciples, but I feel there is more to that as well. Your unlimited and deep love; I say I have the whole lifetime and eternity to get to know about it won't I? Umm; this might be a bit manipulative of me, but I do believe that most of this idea is really from you. Lately, you have made me try to turn my eyes more away from myself and more to others. I have been so focused on myself, that I felt that others around me were just too behind for me to take care, but in reality, because I am in that position, I some what have the responsibility to start supporting and encouraging my fellow peers and others around me. Honestly, I did prejudged them...well more like their whole actions were exemplifying their beliefs, and I, instead of feeling bad about that reality, I was more filled with annoyance. I knew that there were so many others who searched for your knowledge and wisdom like me, or even more than me, and it was sort of frustrating to realize that none of them seemed to be near me. Though some of them were in the same c hurch building, those members were not with me in the same class and I was not able to learn of their studies and ideas. It is a bit disadvantageous of me that I am a girl. If I were a boy, and acted the same way as I did like I am right now, they might have thought about bible study a bit more differently, but lo, I am a female. I don't know how, but I want to be used in my church community to support others to have more hunger for you. It took me a while to get to this point myself, but it is worth it. You must instruct me on how I should speak and behave. My spirit, take good notes when the Holy Spirit speaks and on to you and bulk up a bit so my mind and body may obey under you. Holy Spirit, not only teach my spirit, but also move the spirits of my fellow members as well so that they may start this spiritual life as soon as they can. Help them see this time through your eyes and let them realize that how desperate times we are in right now. Help me be obedient to you, in your name, Amen.

Daily QT: John 12:36-50

Dear Lord, thank you again for restoring me since yesterday, and thank you so much that I have a family, both parents and siblings, that accepted me no matter what I did and still guided me in the right path in such a gentle way. Help me discern from now on what is the lie and help me act out that knowledge once the discernment is given from you. So far, in the passage, the verse 36 seemed to have spoken privately to me. Yes, if you shine the light in the passage, I know and and I will believe that the words that stand out to me are words directed to me. As you can see these verses that I have highlighted (bullet pointed format on posterous) are the ones that made me think...They must have some type of message directed to me. You have shined the light, but I'm afraid I need the assistance of the Holy Spirit to actually decode that message from 2000 years ago to the present day time period that I am living now. From verse 37 to 41, to me, it just made me feel a bi t sad with the fact that no matter how many times you have revealed yourself, there will still be people who will not acknowledge you. When I wrote this, you reminded me of that Youtube person, who claimed your Words were nothing but a fictional novel. But people way smarter and with more critical minds have studied your Word as their profession and many made the conclusion that we Christians take it in as a truth. Christians didn't just assume that all the prophecies were fulfilled by you; several diligent ones looked it up and discovered that you really did fulfill the prophecies, and not only a few, but basically all the statements that were ever recorded and spoken of (not an assumption, but the result of hard core studies). Lord, let that person not remain ignorant. Change that person and open that person's eyes so that he or she may really get to see you as who you are. I for one, am sorry. I might have not represented you well in that short amount of You tube comment area. For sure, most of it was written out my frustration of the comm ent that person made on the youtube clip. Help me gain more knowledge of you so that I may further be used as your witness. In verse 41, it made me think of Arushi. For sure, Arushi knows about you and believes in you more than her culture's religion, yet for sure she is not able to speak out or actively worship you because of the cultural and traditional bondage that she was bound to since birth. To me, verse 41 did seem a bit cruel (even though it is ultimately true), that the fear of the world basically means that the world still means more to them than you. I don't blame Arushi. To be honest, I would acted just like her if I were to have been born in an Indian society (that is one of the biggest reason why I am so thankful that I was born in this God friendly family). I'm sure Arushi still has you in her heart, but it is still true that one day she needs to make the final decision for herself. Not because of the pressures of her society, but because she really realizes wh at is really true in her life. Lord, sorry that I wasn't able to always best represent you before her during the short time we had together. But to be truly honest, I'm not in the position to "convince" her; you are. Lord, please please please still remember my dear friend Arushi. Let her become the light where she is now. Let your love fully be expressed to her ever so strongly that she will really be compelled to love you back. Let that love overflow from her so that she will not only save herself, but even save the community around her. Lord, do not forsake her please, I will trust in you to continue to work in her. The final part that reminded me was in verses 47~48. This verse reminded me sort of my mom. I'm not in the position to judge her, but if my assumptions are right, then please move her spirit to be able to fully devote her life to you. Not only her, but people like my two grandmas and all the people I love who doesn't truly devote their hearts to you. This may also apply to me, because there were several times I did deny your vo ice (thank the Lord that this is now in the past, and by faith, I will have confidence that this sin is now forgiven....by faith..._). I'm not entirely confident now, but Lord, prepare me oh Lord so that I may assist those around me. Use me in any way you can, or else truly life would be meaningless. One final thing I want to note is that, like I've noticed, that the three major bulks that I shared so far sort of directed primarily on others first. Even though I was still not perfect like Jesus and am in no position to judge others, you still reminded me of certain people when I first read through the passage. Fortunately, the way you lead me to type on this diigo, allowed me to find the application on my part as well. Continue to teach me your ways so that I may always be able to hear your voice. Thank you once again for all the things you have done for me. Thank you for forgiving me once more. Help me never loose hope in you and always strive to remain in you until that fin al day. Lord, Thank you for having me have this time with you again. Before I step before you, I pray that you wash me once more with your blood so that I may be able to stand in your presence. With your blood, Amen. Lord, Thank you that you are glorified and being the first fruit for us. Thanks to you, we are now able to live in you. You have called us to follow your ways. I pray that I don't intentionally stumble, but get right back up. I pray that I will not count my life as mine and allow you to to use it. I pray that one day, my life too will be like a single seed for you. I pray that I may bring forth life where ever I go to influence others (I also pray that all will be positive influence_). Dear Lord, thank you for allowing me to have this time with you again. Thank you also for bringing back the peace again in the family and allowing the problem to be resolved with a haste. I feel that you really know what is in our hearts. It has been already couple of times when you revealed the hearts of others, even though their words or actions did not back them up. This fact gives me both comfort and fright, since this means that you also know what is in my heart. And when the question is arised, asking me if I could really give my all to you,... I want to say yes, and sometimes exemplified this statement with my actions. In other times, I failed to back this statement up, with my selfish futile desires. It is funny to say that even I don't know my own heart, and I came to a point to have asked you to tell me what is going on inside me. Dear Lord, thank you for being the supreme ruler of all things and having control over all situation, whether we have knowledge of it or not. Also, thank you whenever you invite us to partake in your works. Just like today's message, I realized how people's actions and words truly does reflect our hearts. It is true that the Roman rule is oppressing in some aspects and it is something that the religious rulers have to keep in mind of all the time, their word's implication in verse 48 show how they believe that the Romans are the ruler over Israel and not God Himself. Though they are accusing you of blasphemy against yourself, their true worries are not in what you might do to them, but what the Romans would do. It is amazing how even in the midst of all this your hand is over their situation. Though Caiaphas may not have known it, he did speak out the truth that will be ultimately fulfilled by you. I was even surprised to find out that what I had in my mind was a ctually later written right after, confirming the conjecture. Truly this is by your doing. I pray that you would also not only do the work, but allow your servants to take part in it and make it known unto us. Right now, as you can see, some of us don't really trust in one another right now, and are worrying about what will happen. But Lord, I believe that he is obeying your command and even though it may look bleak, and we might even end up in that ugly situation for a time, I know that time in that situation is not ever lasting and will be temporary. Allow your servant to see your plans so that she may be able to trust your other servant and rely on him as her true half. Make not obedience to you become the source of conflict in my family, but of blessing and encouragement. Well, I really don't know how the world is turning and I don't know much about banking, but I want to trust in you that all is well. Dear Lord, thank you for allowing me to spend this time with you once more in this hour. Lord, I really want to preserve this time, and not other time so that I may start out my life with you. In a very superficial sense, I feel that you are reminding me not to take your actions too lightly and you move according to the will of God, with purpose and precision. Every body thought that, if you were there at that time, another healing ministry would happen. I felt that many have felt betrayed or confused by you because you deliberately gave some time, making sure that Lazarus was quite dead before you visited him. Of course, instead of just healing another sick, you have already planned to resurrect him, to show who is truly the Son of God. Though at that time, nobody really could think much deeper spiritually, because the Holy Spirit has yet to come at that time. People like me who are living the life after the Pentacost have the similar privilege as you have; to learn more of the will of the Father through the Holy Spirit. I pray, that as my relationship deepens within you, that I would be able to really get to monitor the world around me through your eyes. I want to learn your mysterious ways and ultimately your will so that I may able to comprehend the world better without any confusion and fulfill my role here on this earth. Good evening Lord! and sorry I totally procrastinated today's QT. Even though it may be distasteful to you that I sheepishly return to this time like this, I pray that you would allow me to still try my best to keep this time for you. After all, I did promise to dedicate at least a time of QT to you (preferably early on today). Ah; I really feel that this isn't a good way to do my spiritual life. I don't want to talk to you because I have to, or spending time with you is part of my check list. The reason why I made a vow to myself is so that I could get used to doing this all the time, but once again my true self has come out my Lord. When no body is around, I decided to spend my free time on my own enjoyment. Lord, I may not be called your "loved one", like Lazarus, but one day I hope to be. I want to get close to you as much I love my friend Annie, my sister, Arushi, my dad; you name it. I want to shout your name just like I would when I call out my favorite korean idol star, or my favorite anime character (but even more in degree). Lord, thanks for waking me up again. Will you still forgive me? I really don't want to continue this cycle repeatedly, but Lord it is true that I sometimes forget when I turn on my computer or TV. Either intentionally, or for really of a slip of a mind, that click switch of my self happens so quickly. I wonder if that's one reason why today's passage seems more mind boggling than before. Of course the "easy" part is interesting enough to have caught my attention, but as you can see, some verses don't really make any sense to me. Especially, I don't know how to apply today's message to my life (aka. I'm not getting your code right now)=then again, I don't want to force a message out. Lord, why did you reply to your disciples in verse 9? and why was Thomas' response recorded like that in verse 16? How do these words apply to my life? I'm so sorry if my spiritual eyes and ears are closed today. If it is involved with today, I might not able to repent ...ah; I mean; of co urse I want to remove this shroud to learn of your heart, but you also know me too well and you know that I am way too prone to fall in to my own trap again, that is why I am saying "I might not able to repent...I guess properly" anymore because this mistake has been made all the time. Even though I may not intentionally mean it, but even to me it seems that I am doing this on purpose....man; I don't even know my own heart anymore. Today is just a rant, but I do feel that this problem must be resolved some how before I can further learn of your mysteries. Yeah; it was also right after I watched that movie too;; wahh; Lord, all I can say is that, teach me. Teach me the proper way to live again. Forgive me today. Help me stand back up. Let me not do this out of just plain guilt, but the desire to truly repent (to actually turn back from this path in order to go to the right one). Lord, thank you that you are mighty to save. That you are powerful and you would never let anyone steal away your belonging. I just pray that I will belong in you always. This really reminds me that the only time our relationship will ever be awkward is by me. You would never abandon me, nor cast me away; it is just me that might wonder away from you, seeking this world rather than you kingdom. But Lord, keep my heart close to you so that I may at least fulfill my role faithfully on this world. None of my works and deeds are meaningful or good, unless they are found in you. The least I can do for you is to obey your command and reside in you. Thank you always for all the things you've done, is doing and will do in my life^^. Lord, also, help my actions to always point to you. Lord, are you telling me that I may not be spiritually blind, but in some sense I am spiritually deaf? If that is so, then please open my eyes and ears so that I may see your glorious works that goes on daily in my life and also be able to hear your voice which speaks to me daily. Though I've had experiences of both, it is true that I sometimes do pretend that I don't hear or see, just so that I may fulfill my own enjoyment. But just like it is mentioned in CH 10 verse 4, help me flee from the enemies' voice and don't put any effort in trying to learn from it so that the enemy will always be far from me O Lord. Help me become a tamed Sheep before you and not a rebellious one. Just like in CH9 41, help me for this truth to be reminded of every moment. If you are giving me warnings then help my spirit to understand your voice so that I don't miss it. If there is deliberately a wall that I have erected, I beg of you to dismantle it and keep it a ruin so that nothing will come between us anymore. It might be pathetic of me to ask you again, but please forgive me of the times I enjoy more of Youtube and Anime more than your words. This happened almost daily, and as I tracked down my behavior, I saw how I spent less and less time with you as the week went by. Thank you for reminding me and help me realize this. Dear Lord~! Thank you for this day~ and thank you for allowing my heart to be able to follow my grand ma today to that little hill like mountain and able to spend time with her. I want to believe that it was you who made my lazy heart want to follow grandma up that hill; for sure, I was way too sleepy to consider that to be an option for my time today. Dear Lord, thank you for waking me up again. Thank you for forgiving my sins this morning and teaching me and encouraging me to really step further in to your words and ultimately deeper in to your relationship. This might be a stretch, but still I thank you for letting these words stick out to me. I will rely on you and not fret. Besides, that day I received that thing was purely out your grace and if you wanted, you could either add on to it or take it away. If that really was precious to me; which I really thought it was, I would have kept it in a more closer, safer place. Then again, any material I don't use or think of usually gets lost either way; Oh well, I won't however worry about it anymore and allow you to handle it for me. Until that time, show me what I must do and give me the energy and motivation to do the works that I must do during these times when I am given the opportunity to do them. Help me always be vigilient and diligent so that I may not r egret on not able to do certain things later. Give me the power of discernment so that I may allot my time more wisely. Yup; today I was like give me this and that, but Lord, I know that you know what is going on in my life. Help me not be swayed by the situations of today. Good Morning again! Thank you for granting me another morning O Lord~ and thank you for allowing me to continue this chain of QT once more~^^ Today, you have given me a lot of inspiring and scripture popping excerpts from your words, but I have yet to truly apply it in my own life. Well for sure, it wasn't like yesterday, where I could spot out a direct message towards me. For now I want to just take these words in and enjoy it, but then again, the purpose of the QT for me is to hear out what you want to say to me through them. Lord, you have claimed me as your child, and by faith, I would love to say that I am really your child. However, through your words, I could tell that believing isn't what it is all about to become fully your child. The Jews in verse 31 were those in the crowd who believed in your words and sermons, but when you poked at their faults, they soon picked up stones against you in the end. I really appreciate how much allowed me to walk with yo u for the past 19 years of my life, I still have a long way to go. I begin to really realize more and more how important reading your words are. In verse 31, the latter part, you said that I would be called your disciple if I hold to your teachings. Well, first I better learn your teachings in order to follow them. Well yes, it is true that there are several ones that I learned so far and that is the thing as well. Because of my sinful self, I even end up not able to follow through your most simplest of teachings. But I will not give up yet; though your forgiveness paid with your own life, I will never loose hope as long as I live. You know my heart O Lord. I may not be as fervent as your servant Paul, but I do have that desire to follow your teachings in my heart; it is just that my limited body and mind sometimes prevents me from doing them (if I did succeed one time, then it might not last long or something like that even). I don't want to make that statement that because I am young, I still have a lot of chances because in reality, you co uld take away my life even now when I sleep (my life belongs to you) but for sure if granted that life, I want to fill it up with trials and attempts to continue be more like you. I honestly don't really understand what you meant in verse 35 and 36, but some how it really popped out to me as something profound. Ah;; and for the part about "because you have no room for my word"... Lord help me give up my life more and more and so one day I might really be consist of 100% scripture. (well at least maybe 90%+ while I am still living in this world). By Faith I am your child and therefore I will strive to do my Father's work (both for my earthly father you have given me and for my Heavenly Father above!). Lord never cease to speak to me and show your love to me by speaking in to my heart always; Help my spirit to be sensitive to your voice and become strong enough to be able to control my mind and body. Sorry that these QTs maybe really incoherent and full of grammar mistakes, bu t still thank you so much for your time anyway! My Dearest Lord and Father in Heaven, Good Morning! and thank you for providing a new morning for me today again! Thank you so much that this session was able to be carried on again today and not just have ended yesterday. I pray that I would always reserve my time to you in the morning from here on out. Today, I felt that the messages from today's morning service and the QT goes hand in hand (parallel, even). In the morning, you gave us messages from 2 Cor. 5: 11~21, mentioning about us becoming "New Creation" in You. The vice-pastor mentioned that that meant we would now have new purposes and new ways of life; also, that we are to no longer to live for ourselves but allow You to live through us, continuing your ministry of reconciliation. When I read John 8 today, I felt that you lived that life which allowed you to speak what you've said to the Pharisees like that. Since you are sure of where you came from, you knew exactly where you needed to go. Now that I am a new creation in you, I have a sure path that I must take in this one life time you have given me. Well, of course, I may not have the entire map laid out in front of me, but for sure, my life will not run aimlessly but it is sure to have a certain direction and purpose! I'll leave the revelation up to you~^^. I es pecially want to make the exact same phrase you said to the pharisees concerning the part about decision making. I really want to not make the decisions for myself nor assume a decision that I think you would have wanted me to choose. I want all my decisions to be made from you. Since I have now chosen to live your life for you, I want to choose the path that you want me to go. Help me not negotiate with you anymore and help me get used to hearing your voice during this time before i go to UW so that I would not fail you or delay you in any way. I know that even though I may trip up, your plans and ways will never be thwarted, but still, I want to keep up with the pace you have set for me and deviate in any sort of way. Also in verse 29, I want to be able to declare that proudly my self. As your would-be Ambassador, I want to represent you well before all the people that I am about to meet and influence. I want you to be glorified in my life even before you officially return to this earth. Lord, I want you to be the one who sent me; I want yo u to never be absent from my decisions and I want to do things that will please you always. My dream really is for all the nations to come before you and finally acknowledge you as the true king and True God of this world. I am a weak vessel, and now I hold something so precious and so magnificent within me. Lord with you in me, I have a self value and worth. Strengthen your vessel so that I may truly bear you as you truly are and when the time comes, for you to overflow and influence the people around me where ever I go. Lord thank you for your powerful words today and thank you for this new method of spending time with you. I pray that my relationship with you will ever grow closer so that I may really know more about you all the time. Lord, I love you truly as I would love my own father and friend. Thank you for your time, I will look forward for it again tomorrow ~!!^^

48-49)I saw how ridiculous it is for the Pharisees totally saw the situation in their myopic eye judging and condemning the people and witnesses as how they saw fit. What was even more ironic was that right after they just claimed that all the members of the Pharisees were unanimous about the fact that nobody believes in Jesus, Nicodemus steps in and tries to at least let Jesus' words and actions become a witness for His claims. Continuing along the passage, the next chapter was about the case of the adulterous woman caught in action and was brought in before Jesus to be judged. Of course it was a trap, set up by the Pharisees, but Jesus knew their hearts and totally dealt with the situation wisely. When I wanted to know how this applied to my life, I felt that you were telling me to not to condemn my mom just yet. You know that I know that dad knows that mom is still her stubborn self, still trying to deal with situations her way and not completely trusting on others. If she really trusted on you, then she wouldn't resort to asking me to help out my sister; also if she really trusted on my dad completely, then she wouldn't treat him as a trial program where she uses him if his methods seem to work, and throw him away if it seems not to work. Clearly mom doesn't seem to trust in dad's method since she told me herself after dad sort of sneaked peeked her on what he plans to do next with my sister. I w anted to tell her that I am clearly on Dad's side, assuming my dad is on your side 100%. I also knew that what my mom hopes to for my sister will not happen unless my sister decides to change herself and become obedient/trusting in dad. Truly, I wanted to condemn my own mother to show her that what she is thinking and doing is still stubborn and ultimately un-biblical and stuff, but I think I realize what you are trying to say to me when I came across John 8. In verse 7, you said it is not my place to judge or condemn others for their actions. Though as of now, mom's way is pretty much not right, I am not in the position to lecture her or set things straight. You are the true judge and the one who shall make the final decision. I know that you are still working in her life. I will trust in you that you are working in her life. Though dad and I can't spot the difference yet and the process of transformation doesn't seem to happen at the pace that we are anticipating, for sur e that you haven't given up on her. Lord. thank you for for teaching me your ways. This may sound a bit arrogant of me but I really do believe that you are speaking out with this passage today. Continue to open my eyes and heart as I read your words today. Teach me your ways and help me become more and more like Jesus every day. Just like how you have taught me that sanctification should be our top goal in life, (ref: today's morning service), I will start this by first reading your daily emails for me and trying to obey your commands. Let not my eyes and mind be the judge, but solely through your spirit. Thank you for today's word~ see you later today~ and hopefully once again tommorrow^^ TTyl~!!

7) I really should not be surprised anymore or be confused when it comes to the topic of to be "born again." By faith, and the promises of the Bible, I am born again. Not only by faith, but through ANI prayer school, I have learned what it means to be born again. I pray that this fact shall now be revealed through my life, but first I must live by this truth. In many cases, I sometimes I forget this and end up reverting back to my older self. 11) Sometimes, even though the world in itself is evident enough of knowing the truths of God, but when we focus too much on just the Physical aspect of the world, we have the tendency to miss the underlying spirituality. With Wisdom, Jesus gives earthly examples, in hope that such relating examples maybe easier to understand, but when we have totally closed off our senses, we may even loose the sense of even the real world around us. Lord, help my eyes be fixed on to you so that even though the surrounding maybe filled with strife, I may still reside within you will. Let me not be shaken so that I may miss the work of your hands but always be blessed to be able to sense your presence. 19) This is one thing that is what keeps non-believers to not make their final choice to believe in God, and also the factor that makes Christians stumble and fall. I myself, know of this very well because I struggle with this fact all the time. 20) One reason why laying my entire life to Jesus is difficult is because we don't like being exposed of our faults and wounds. Sometimes, those wounds become so strong that they get twisted by lies and become our justification of our lives. This verse explains to me why I sometimes don't end up doing my Quiet time sometimes because I felt that my constant sinning and faults might repulse God and He doesn't want me anymore. 21) But in order to get right with God, I must remove those falsehoods in my life, and the only way to get rid of them is through the blood of Christ. It may hurt to reveal my faults and sometimes, repenting over and over might seem pointless, but by Faith and the promises that are made in the Bible, I have the hope to stand back up again. If I truly love God and believe in Him, I would naturally end up hating the things that God hates and only love the things that God loves. It is critical that my self becomes in synced with God in order for me to even have the chance of living a proper life.

20) My dad mentioned about this before in another family meeting once. It also made me wonder as well; why did Abraham make Issac marry so late? 21~22) For sure, both of the couple had a close relationship with God, to the point that if one asked of God or made questions to him, he would gladly answer/hear them out. This made me think that it is important whenever there are difficulties in our lives, the first thing that we can always turn to is God and not rely on our own strength especially when the situation is tough. A step further is when we share even our happiness, joy and even success with God like we do with our close relatives and friends and not only go to God in times of trouble. 23) I think it is like a pattern when a single person gets to later represent an entire nation. It is true that after these guys grows up, set up a family and stuff they later become something like "nation," I believe the reverse is true as well. Especially in the earlier part of the bible, when there are only individual's names mentioned. Even though there was only Adam, he represented the entire humanity. His sons, Cain and Abel could not only represent themselves, but even people "like" Cain and people "like" Abel (like i mentioned before). 25) Okay; that is really freaky;; How HAIRY are you Esau;; I mean; you are so read and hairy that they even named you "Red" 26)Also, it is interesting how Jacob was able to have the power and the mentality to grab his brother's heel...I wanna see this in real life~ this would be stinkin' awesome to see for yourself. 32)Over-reacting over here. But there are times when we really focus too much on ourselves and how we feel, to the point we magnify our needs and issues. When we do so, we can easily miss what is really important to us. 34) His actions came out to be= He gave it up easily = Esau despised his birth right. Later he begs and cries to have any blessings that are left ...so in some sense he would have known that Birth right would come really handy in the later time, but because he abused it, we can only interpret it as that he "hated" it.

Daily QT: Genesis 25: 1-18

1) It is the 2nd time I went through this passage, and it still surprises me to know that Abe actually had a 2nd wife (Abe and Sarah combination was so prominent in the bible, this detail rarely gets mentioned huh?). 2) Amazingly, Keturah bore Abe more sons than Sarah and couple of the sons had bunch more of their sons as well (Issac only ends up with a pair of twins). 5~6) But still, even though the other sons were more many in number, Abraham still made Issac the one to own everything he had. Abe even made sure that though each of the sons were taken care of, they are to be sent away from Isaac to the land of the east. For sure by now, Abe learned to not care for worldly wealth and solely enjoy the wealth and promise given by God. 8)Abe only got to live for 175 years, (not as long as his past ancestors before the flood), but it is recorded in the bible that he lived at a good old age, and was a man full of years. I feel that it really shows that length of life doesn't make it a good one and only those who really accomplished their mission on earth are the true happy ones. For sure Abraham fulfilled his purpose of life and even got to enjoy a bit before he departed from earth. 9)It was a bit of a surprise to know that Isaac and Ishmael were both there to bury Abraham. I wonder if they felt a bit of jealousy and tension when they were there together. Also I'm still happy to know that Ishmael still came to bury his father, even after he was virtually abandoned by him in his early age. 11) Continuation of the covenant~ 13) Ishmael's line actually had a bit of head start when they were creating their empire no? In like such a coincidence, he had 12 sons who became powerful tribes. It was promised to Hagar and Ishmael that these would happen, but I can't help but to correlate with the 12 sons and tribes of Israel that will later appear towards the mid-end of Genesis. 17) Not to blame Ishmael, but as you can see for his death it only said that he "breathe his last and died." It doesn't say that he lived a "good old age" or was a man of "full of age." This really brings a contrast and makes me realize that all death are not equal. All death ends a life, but there are death after living a life to the fullest, and there are death where you just simply ...die. 18) achkk; what? I guess Ishmael was a great peace maker cause only after he died, his sons create turmoil among their neighboring countries -_-

Daily QT: Genesis 24: 28-49

34~36) I felt that this is really rather funny how the servant had to sort of "commercialize"? his master before getting to the real point of why he came all the way to Haran (...or; the old place that Abe used to live). He had to mention that Abe was like super wealthy, and one who posessed all the blessing after him was the possible future husband of Rebekah... (really nice way to put it there^^ that will surely get his attention) 37~48) argh; sometimes it really makes me wonder, whenever the bible is written, they really say "exactly" how it happened. Bascially the big chunk of this is the exact summary of the previous segment I looked at yesterday....hmmnya 47) Again; it always makes me think about how important it is for the Hebrews to mention their heritage. (I wonder if they had last names....so I can just say that I am "Haeun Park" rather than... who my dad and mom was...then again... there are quite a lot of parks...who has names of Haeun -_-;;) 48) It was interesting how he said the "God of my master"...must they specify? can't they just say my God? or will that be too vague? And yeah I even think this is heck of a testimony~ almost movie like to me~ ^^

14) I am really curious to know whether the servant came up with the way to discern on his own, or if God placed the words and thoughts in his mind. I guess it may be the latter, because he prayed before hand to make sure to pick the right girl for Issac. 15) Super coincidence ey? This is like ....those stuff in the movies, when the heroine just pops out at the right time after the people mention her name. 16) Rebekah must have been really really beautiful for that information to be mentioned in the Bible. Because the Bible only mentions important necessary things this is something very notable. The fact that she is also a virgin really makes it an important part of the "perfect" wife for Issac. Purity must exist between newly weds. 19~20) I think it is an important quality for women to be not only kind, but also diligent. I mean; it must have been a tedious task to give drinks to camels, but Rebecca was kind and diligent enough to do that for a complete stranger. (note to self lol) 21) In my case after realizing something I prayed for exactly to come true, I would be at first pretty shocked, but then again feel like "Alright! that's it!" and feel excited, but this servant did like double check to make sure that Rebecca was the actual chosen one. I guess making important choices still takes more caution, even though the answer might be right in front of you;; 27)once again, this is something that could be made into a movie no? Application: this is a good read for a "perfect woman" : virgin, diligent, compassionate and generous.... yay. Also don't take the bait even though it may seem such an obvious answer... check and double check when making final decisions, and make sure that God is behind everything.

Daily QT: Genesis 23: 1-20

This passage has always made me wonder why it even existed in the first place. Not to say that this passage was meaningless, but to me I just take it in as Abraham, buying land, so that he can bury the dead (in this case Sarah). It also always brought questions into mind, why Abraham persisted in paying for the original price when the Hittites were so willing to give away their land. For one thing, Abe was quite a big figure to them already, and to them they would rather offer their land and not receive any price in return. Several times, was Abe given the opportunity to get his choice of land and burial site for free, but he continued to persist in paying large sums of money to gain it. Maybe, it was important for the men of faith to gain that particular part of land legally and officially in the long run. Something similar in the case when Jeremiah bought land right before the invasion of the Babylonians to signify that all hope is not lost and the Israelites will surely return later. For application, I'm just getting a shallow obvious message like, it is always right for people of faith to do things in a proper way;; yeah;; not too sure...all I see is observation and less of application...

Daily QT: Genesis 22: 13-24

13) The picture of the substitutionary sacrifice that later forshadows Jesus 16) Now Abraham has a taste of how God the Father have felt when God sends His son down to earth to become the sacrifice (T^T) 17) Unfortunately for Abraham, this promise is fulfilled as time goes by~ Now Israel is a nation of its own, but by this time, Abraham would be dead....for already several generations. This really shows the vertical aspect of God's time and the horizontal view of man's time. To God, whether the fulfillment of the promise happens in the way future, as long as it is fulfilled it is as good as done right now~;; (***importance to know and see through God's POV; or else nothing make sense in this world) Oh~ and thanks to Abraham's obedience, God's ultimate plan through the Israelites was able to go on smoothly. I'm guessing if Abraham were to have failed, then God would wait for another man who has the potential for great obedience come around (but God knew that someone like Abraham has the guts to go through this ~ so for God's records, it is like the finished result rather than a trial and error record) 20) Some news back in the home town. 21) LOL~ Uz and Buz;; 22) If Abraham heard this news before, then I bet that he would have been jealous. But of course, Abe has already learned to live according to the sole provision of God. I bet that he is just happy for his brother Nahor and still be satisfied.

Daily QT: Genesis 22: 1-12

2) It just came to me, how much God knew Abraham loved his son Issac. Because Abraham loved him so much, Issac was the perfect person for God to test Abraham's faith. I feel the repeated phrases really emphasis how much Abraham loved his son, and for God to clearly define how much Abraham's love for him, and use the word "sacrifice" in the same phrase must have seem pretty cruel to Abraham. 3) People say that this phrase " then we will come back to you" shows the continuous faith and trust Abraham had for God. It could be that Abraham was just saying this to lie to his servants so that he can carry out God's hard test without having any arguments with his servants and his son. But for that phrase to come out of Abraham's mouth, it still shows a slight faint of hope in his heart (words = reflection of our thoughts/belief system) 7~8) Still Abe shows a sign of hope in God, but can you picture the irony and the emotion that Abe might have felt when Issac asked this question? 12) Through this test, Abraham exemplified that there was nothing in between God and him anymore and he could be finally titled as the "man of Faith." According to one sermon I heard before, it says that though Abraham was able to leave his family's home right away, there was few things that Abe could not give up. In the beginning, he could not give up his cousin Lot and made him travel along to the promised land with him. God still tested Abe for that by having the feud among Abe and Lot's servants, seeing how Abe and Lot would react to the conflict (Abe passed the test since he showed maturity by humbling himself before his cousin, while Lot failed the test by relying on his senses to make the decision). Even in this case, Abraham's new target of faith and trust came on to Issac (future of his household and the fulfilment of God's promise). But God used Issac to make sure that the one who gave Issac and the great promise in the first place was God himself.

Daily QT: Genesis 21: 1-21

2,5) God promised Abraham that if he obeyed God, God would make him into a great nation. That was about when Abraham was ...70 something years old. Pretty much like 30 years passed, and finally Sarah bore Abe Issac. But the scriptures tell us that timing was the very time that God had promised Abe. This really reminds me that all things eventually matter according to God's POV rather than man's. In the worldly view, this is rather outrageous. The time span in order for the promise of having a son through Sarah, took a ridiculously long time. Even Abe got agitated and ended up with Ishmael. However, if you really look back why God did this, (of course we can only guess is masterplan), the result is enormous. For one thing, that joy of having that child at that age (for both couples) was amplified by a lot because that birth in itself was totally medically impossible, but God did it anyway. He waited until Abe was 100 years old to prove that God's promise will b e fulfilled not by man's effort, but solely God's. Also, though this, God sort of foreshadows how the Messiah would come into this world though Issac's birth (once again correlate with the impossibleness medically, but God was able to anyway). This Event totally proves that God is the one who gave Abraham his son. This brings up the question, are we willing to wait and trust in God all the way, even though it may take decades or maybe even centuries before that promise that God made with you will be fulfilled? This Event also shows how God is transcendent over time and generations. God uses a People group and their generations to fulfill his goal of the heavenly kingdom, rather than being limited to a single life span of a man. It really shows how great and magnificent God's ultimate plan is (the great scale of it that is~) 8~10) They say this is out of favoritism. Ishmael was born as well and probably received bunch of love from Abe as well, but just because "Issac Weaned" they though a great party....yeah i would be jealous too I guess. (and Sarah;; that's your mess-_-;; ) 11~13)Harsh;; Even God is like listen to Sarah's cruel judgement call. But for sure they are not going to die out there since God promised his protection of Ishmael for "him" to become a great nation as well. (bitter sweet moment ey?) 17~18) I know the point is that Ishmael sort of reached out for God and God provided, but in here it did say the one who sobbed was Hagar....I guess Ishmael too burst in to tears when he was under that bush. He is prolly in his late puberty stage, and he got kicked out of the house for no particular reason;;; that's sad. 19)This is just my interpretation, but I totally believe that there was sort of an oasis/well rather close by, but Hagar just happen to miss it until God pointed it out for her. 20) We all know that Ishmael's line later ends up as the Islamic nations. For one thing God was with the boy as he grew up fulfilling his covenant with Abraham (Great nation). Even now, the Muslims claim that Allah is same as Yaweh in the Christian Bible and in some sense, there are similarities between those two Gods. However, I believe that it is a twisted image of God. When I thought about this, Allah resembles a lot with God the Father -- the all judging, transcendent God whom nobody can approach. But the Islamic World view fails (pretty much deny), the full picture of God: the Trinity, = God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Due to Abraham's influence, Ishmael knew of God and was fully educated to even believe in Yaweh as the one true God. He even experienced the walk with God and a miracle provided by Him that saved his life. However, due to the influence of his Egyptian mother, his wife and the neglect/rejection he experienced during his adolescence period, Ishmael's world view became twisted, to the point they became the "Islamic Nation" [Application] God's plan is truly transcendent and is of a great scale. To be part of it is an honor, but due to our limited minds, it requires us to be patient and always have faith in God, despite the fact the current reality tells us that the plan is impossible. God keeps his side of the Promise always, even though we make mistakes.

Daily QT: Genesis 20: 8-18

8) Along with yesterday's passage, I saw how Abimelek really took his vision/dream seriously, to the point that he started to discuss them with his officials. To be honest, in most cases most people usually take their dream for granted and maybe discuss them with someone close like a best friend if it bothered them that much. Continuing this thought of process, just like he considers his nation (Garer) as himself, he immediately discussed his dream with his officials even though this was (in my opinion) a personal issue and could be simply be solved if he returned Sarah unharmed. Also, his officials even took their king seriously by actually being afraid of what he said to them. These mentions really makes me think that although these Negev region people were not particularly chosen by God, they somehow had this deep religious reverence to a god (I am still not sure if they feared...a god, or they truly recognized THE God Yaweh). 11) After reading verses 1~8, I think it is safe to say that Abraham sort of made a false pre-judgement/bias that all foreign nations had no fear of God. It is obvious that at least Abimelek and his officials took God's words seriously. Then again, it could be that Abimelek did really meet God for the first time and instantly realized that there is actually someone even greater than he (who knows?). Also, I don't think that it was mentioned in the beginning, but surely the Pharoh had this bad habit of killing other's husbands for their wives, but I don't think that sort of description/rumor was mentioned for Abimelek. (Well, I guess all human kings has that sort of potential every now and then, even though they may not do it as often as the Pharaoh of the previous chapter= ex. even King David killed Uriah for Bathsheeba-_-) 12) "She is really my sister" (of another mother). Wow;; So Abraham married his cousin;; Even Nahor (Abe's brother), married his brother's daughter later on. I asked this particular question to my dad yesterday, and he replied with a solution. For one thing, it was the Israelites tradition/custom to remain pure in their line of the family (like selective breeding for pure bred poodles). Also, during Abe's time, there were still only a few amount of people that ever existed and there would not be a genetical issue that would rise due to marrying close relatives. Later in the Bible however, God prevents his people from marrying/having sexual relationship with their close relatives when He is giving them the law in Mt. Sinai because at that point, there were enough population to prone mutation (lots of overlapping genes that would make it prone to mutation --lethal recessive alleles and so forth). So all this time, Abraham was fine with saying his wife as his sister, because it was only a half truth ("She is my sister......[aside]and my wife.....-_-;;"). I guess this shows the importance of telling the whole truth rather than just using certain facts to get around a situation (except when you are writing your college application^^). 13) Abe are you sort of blaming God a bit? 14) I don't know why, but for some reason, after the truth has been revealed and it showed Abraham as the true culprit (the liar in this case), the Kings would always give Abraham great amount of bonus along with his wife....to show fear to God?...to admit that Abraham has a God protecting him and therefore they must try their best to not offend Abraham? (or;; just custom?) Why doesn't Abe give them anything in return? He did cause some mess to the kings, and Abe is pretty much a leader of his family and should have some wealth enough to give as a present to the king.... (????) 17~18) My mom mentioned this verse during our family prayer meet yesterday, and she said that though this is a common passage to mention about how Abe screwed up the second time. But then, my mom points out through this event God enabled Abimelek's household to have children again. I mentioned how God has an amazing methods to always turn a terrible situation into another opportunity. [Application]: God is able to not only fix problems (our mess even), but even bring forth new opportunity and hope through them as well. (yeah; sort of short;; but this time I feel that I had more commentary than application this time....I shall contemplate on this passage further as the day go by)

Daily QT: Genesis 20: 1-7

2)It is interesting how Abraham decided to fall for the same mistake he did in the past, though he should probably have known that it didn't work last time with the Egyptian Pharaoh. In some sense this is like most of our lives, especially mine, when we still continue to respond to a problem the same way we did used to in the past, whether they worked for us before or not. In most cases, especially in important or critical situations, people have the tendency to respond to the problem in the way that they are most comfortable with (in a most reflective way I guess). Abraham probably felt a bit of deja vu, but I also believe that he would have felt that only after Abimelek had taken Sarah away. Of course I fall for the same tricks as well and this is probably no body's exception as long as we are bound to our physical bodies. But as a new creation, and someone who received the holy spirit has a better chance avoiding the problem in a more Godly way(in most cases, the most effective way, according to how God wants it). This is only true of course when communication with your own spirit and the Holy Spirit occurs. Just like close friends share everything between each other, this type of fellowship/communication gets easier,clearer, and much more effective when we have it nailed in our natural system. If Abraham remembered that the Lord was on his side all the time, then he could have asked God and received some advice from the Lord in order to effectively avoid this issue. 3) What's even more amazing is that God is willing to cover up for Abraham, even though Abraham made the same mistake as last time. I just realized this, but I find it interesting that for the Egyptian Pharaoh, God inflicted diseases over his household while in Abimelek's case he only spoke to him in just a merely dream. In my opinion, just talking things out is way more passive and peaceful way to handle a misunderstanding. In this sense, God knew exactly how to solve the situation. Probably talking out with the Pharaoh would have been a waste of time and giving him a jolt of some sort of disease is the best way to convince him that it was wrong to take away Sarai. 4~5) Considering what I said earlier, I guess Abimelek was a pretty nice guy (I mean; he didn't pounce on Sarah yet right?-- well then again, in verse 6 it does say that God prevented Abimelek from sinning against him by not letting him touch Sarah) and he was pretty obedient to God after He told him about the situation. 7) Hmm Abraham as a Prophet? That is an interesting title that I have yet to hear from sermons (usually we just say that he was a man of faith and stuff, or a patriarch). What is funny is that Abraham was the one who screwed things up, but he has to pray over Abimelek in order for him to live. Also, I am wondering, if Abimelek (also that Pharaoh) got to learn of Yaweh God through this experience. Well for Egypt; it could have been confusing and they could have added another god to their list, or just assumed God as one of their own gods. For sure, these nations were religious, and they would either a some form of god in their lives. I wonder if this experience, though it was a negative point for Abraham, still created an interesting opportunity for the foreign nations. If not; well... we'll just have to find out later after everything is over. [Application]: It is pretty much given that when we try to solve a problem with our own earthly brain, we have a high chance to screw things up. There fore it is very important that we keep a close relationship with the Holy Spirit so that we would be able to handle all situations in Godly way. I don't mean to get close to the Holy Spirit just to stuck up to Him and be freed from all trouble, but even in human relationship, it is so much easier to discuss about a situation with a close friend, rather than with a complete stranger. Fortunately for us, the Holy Spirit is omnipresent, so He would be there when we are in those situations. Like I said before, we must not only meet the Holy Spirit in our devotionals, or during church but in our daily lives. How else will we be able to solve situations like these when we require a quick effective decision at that place at that time? One way my dad taught me was even ask little questions to the Holy Spirit and wait for a response . In most cases, the Holy Spirit will communicate with our thoughts and therefore, we would come up with something in our hearts after we give him that prayer. Of course this requires our faith and you have to believe that what ever thought comes across my mind after I prayed to the Holy Spirit are from Him. Some times it is really from him, and other times it could be thoughts/responses that only we want. That's why we should practice it with small things such as, "what should I eat for lunch today?" or "would it please you if I wake up right now?" In this way, we can figure out what Holy Spirit's voice is like and get to really hear him out during the time when we make bigger decision. This is rather difficult if we are not used to it, and for sure even I only do it when my head is thinking straight. In most cases, I just make decisions based on my own feelings and needs and don't even take time to ask, even simple things (eating a snack, drawing etc.). Just always have i n mind that Holy Spirit is ever present and just learn to take a mome nt to hear out what he has to say.

1~4) Okay Starting off with intense battle scene from the various kings around the area where Lot is~ Of course King of Sodom is involved 11~12) Poor Lot got captured... lol(?) I bet that he didn't see this coming now did he? 14~16) But Abram to the rescue! I mean; but wow;; Abram is like really old...(I think around mid 70s or older at this point,) but with only 318 men, he fights off the king's army~ I guess God really boosted up their muscle power and kicked the other army's butt! 18~19) !!! Important! This is surely one of the OT appearances of Jesus! What is amazing is that the Salem Kingdom didn't exist when this particular king visited Abram. The Bread and Wine reference of course signifies Jesus himself (for more info check out the last supper in the Gospels). 20) And I think this is the first time mention of the Tithe that occurred in the bible 23)Abram's bold statement here really amazed me. For one thing he is talking to a king here and that king was offering hospitality to Abram, but Abram totally denied his offer, making sure that he would not be involved with the evil kingdoms, even though it would have increased his wealth

The Famous story of Lot's departure from Abram's party 10~11)Once again, Lot's choice the land Eastward (Jordan toward Zoar) -- something about the East side is rather negative in most cases... Before I typed this, I asked about this story to my dad. He reminded me that it is so much easier to sin (more like inevitable), if we let our senses choose our decision. My dad told me that our emotion and my senses does not define me. For example, even though I may "feel" like doing in something, or I "feel" tired, that is most likely the behavior of our past sinful self who only rely on fleshy desire. Lot made the faulty decision because he relied on his senses, specifically his "eyes". To his sight, the land East was so good, to the point it was like garden of Eden. He never called on the Lord for any suggestion and decided to head on to the sinful lands, because he "felt' right about the decision. Now that we are a new creation, we have the Holy Spirit to rely on for decision making. For one thing, God knows all, and especially knows what is best for us (not only for our current situation, but for the WAY future as well). If we were used to listening to God's voice, then literally, our life will be for the Will of God. In this case, Lot was still at fault because he chose to rely on his faulty senses rather than to inquire God for the best choice. 8~9) This was mentioned in a book I read by Joyce Myers. Abram's actions exemplified in the passage is something that we Christians must take note of. We must learn to humble ourselves and become the peace makers of our society.

1) Remember how "leaving the father's household" is really a big deal for people like Abram. This is basically saying to Abram to leave the world he was totally used to and venture in the world that God didn't even mention yet. The world that Abram lived in was like "The World" of today. This is the moment when God is setting apart His people from the rest of the World. From DVDs I watched and lectures I heard, Abram's family (Terah) used to be merchants, probably also selling idols. So this means, that Abram wasn't a great man of Faith but only encountered Yaweh for the first time. It's also amazing how Abram would be willing to just leave his comfort zone/past lineage, trusting on such a vague promise. 7)I might be totally off, but could this be another site in the OT when God appeared on earth? or is it just referring to how God approached Abram early on in the chapter? 10)First hardship after moving in to the new land. I can't blame Abram, but if he were to have trusted God a bit further, maybe God would have provided for him. Well anyway, Abram ends up trying to figure out the problem himself in the end and ends up nearly loosing his wife. Fortunately , God totally covers for Abram and he became richer than he first entered Egypt.

1) we all know that before the tower of Babel, everyone had the same language...that means, All Cocasians, Asians, Africans spoke a common language no? So this is when bunch of nationalities came forth~ from the 3 sons of Noah~ If i got my facts straight, I think Japheth was the father of all the Cocasians, Ham was the father of all the African area ppl, and Shem was the father of Asians (including Middle east and way later on to East Asia). This is only based off on their lineage and the area these people spread over to. The Japhethites moved some where(lack of reading comprehension), but for sure the Hamites moved southward down to African area. The Shemites were the ones who moved Eastward so from there later on Korea should come out some where. If you follow the gigantic flow of the World history, Korea started to come about when the Romans were some what the western world power. You can only imagine how far back this lineage is. (I mean the nations of today used to be small clans of people back then) So if you notice, From Adam all the way to Noah, God is not only mentioning about specifically the Israelites/Jews, but talking about the entire humanity. Check out some of the names down there~ there was actually a person named "Egypt" and stuff~ pretty neat Okay; back to the influence of "homosexuality" -- look at where the Canaanites spread over to = two of them were Sodom and Gomorrah and you know later on in the Bible this place gets crushed due to their sexual immorality;; (they kept their traditions strong -_-)

Uh;; this is not my interpretation, but there was someone who mentioned this on a lecture. The term "lay uncovered" specifically reveals your ...private area...which could also signify "homosexual-ism." Well if you read on;; Ham was the one who tattled tailed on his brother, but when Noah awoke, the one who got a huge amount of curse Noah's poor little grandson, Canaan. Well as the interpretation goes, while Noah was drunk and stuff...Canaan must have.... urgh;; and therefore....he got a junk load of curses from his grandpa. Later on when Canaan and his descendants make their way to live in different parts of the world. They settle in the land of Canaan (later taken over by the Israelites). As you know, the people of Canaan has the nasty practice of Baal worship. How do you worship Baal? well you can go have sex with the priests and temple prostitutes to help Baal get excited and make him be able to produce a good harvest. (in other words, the people of Canaan was known for their sexual immorality = tracing back to this particular incident mentioned in Genesis Ch9) In some sense make sense;; but I'll leave the rest of the interpretation to you ^^

1) hmm yes; I think it was very VERY important that God didn't forget about Noah and the animals in the ark. It would have been seriously terrible if God was like..."oops;; my bad" 2~19) To us the flood story is less than a page... for Noah; it was a whole lot of time before he was able to set foot on dry land no? 20) Something that all Christians should look up to = remember to Praise God and Thank him! Especially during the times He did something for you. At times, it is so easy to forget who provided what when we are in the mist of excitement and celebration. 21) I heard that after Noah's flood, God came in to a "grace mode." In Noah's case, God totally wiped the earth clean when He could not take it anymore and fulfilled his judgement. People now a days keep on saying " If God is so good then why does he let these bad things happen." Uh for one thing God IS going to do something about it and it is called the "appocalypse" or "Jesus' second coming" At that time, if you have waited patiently enough all your sadness and anger will be avenged for. And also, you don't really want God to destroy the earth all over again would you now? Are you confident enough with your relationship with God that you can escape his Judgement like Noah did? God IS going to do something about all the mess of the world and until then we should be thankful that God is giving us many chances to turn back and enter the ark.

Just felt like tracking the time of how the world was totally flooded during Noah's time. 7 days after God's warning (at this point the family and animals are on the ark), it started to rain =floodwaters came on the earth. Same year, 2 months and 17 days later the Springs from the earth burst forth. Even the massive water above since the beginning of time came down as well. and the flood it self continued for +150 days (after it stopped pouring and bursting forth). so tell me... what about bathroom breaks?

Okay~ I'm going to look at this chapter as a whole as I mentioned before in the last post under "interesting passages," the genealogy from Adam to Noah does not include Cain and Abel though they were born before Seth. The Bible skips from Adam right to Seth because this was the line of people who "walked with God and began to call on the name of the Lord" In the eyes of God, all those other hundreds of other children/people were really not important enough to be recorded in the Bible. Only those who had a relationship with God are meaningful to Him and in the end are the ones who will live with God forever and ever. This is also the picture of how God wanted his original plan to be. Since God is so great, he wanted to display his greatness by making something that was in His likeness; hence he created Adam. What Adam was SUPPOSE to do is just like how he did in Chapter five = make people like him who are like God and fill the earth and further glorify God and have fellowship with Him. BUT! in Chapter 3, we know he screwed up, and so it took Adam 130 years to get back on track. The mess he made will be taken care of later but it still existed. It is important for us Christians to understand this part of God as well. Remember that God decides what is good. If we are not in that range;; it won't be much a happy life for us no? Also, this was mentioned to me before but notice how it says that so and so "lived" and fathered someone else. In Cain's genealogy, it just says that they fathered so and so. They reproduced, but in God's eyes they were as good as dead and not considered to be "living." Also notice how long these people lived (Adam 900+ years and so forth). Do you really think that all they did during the entire 900+ years just produce like one child? It is easier to assume that they must have done way more things, such as...build buildings and stuff and create civilizations but to God, the only thing that was meaningful that Adam ever did was fathering Seth = continuing the line of believers. Also if you notice the trend, the time these dudes fathered a proper heir gets shorter and shorter. Seth matured faster than Adam. Enosh matured faster than Seth and so forth. This acceleration the lineage does sort of come to an abrupt slow down with Methuselah and it is back to the 100s again; but it is still exists. Finally, Noah came along and produced up to meaningful children~ though it did took him 500 years. In some sense God was waiting for this moment when more than one heir to his Kingdom came forth before he wiped the earth clean with water.
